The Rock Salt :: WiFi Repeaters :: Anyone have any experience with 'em?: "With my Linksys router you can assign static IPs to specific MAC addresses, so that it always gives out the same IP to that device. Or on the computer side, you can set your network config to DHCP w/Manual IP and get the same effect.
On a mac, it's in Sys Preferences -> Network -> Airport -> Advanced -> TCP/IP
Though, I kinda doubt it's an IP conflict issue. Routers have hundreds of IPs to choose from and are pretty smart about not trying to assign recently used addresses to new devices. When your device goes to sleep, it's going to request a new IP via DHCP when it awakens."
