In my opinion:
The best cheap kit:
Standard zoom: 28-85mm, 35-70mm f/4, or 35-105mm (under $80)
Tele zoom: 70-210mm f/4 (under $150)
Prime: 50mm 1.7 (under $80)
Tele prime: 100mm f/3.5 macro (Cosina/Promaster/etc) 'Plastic Fantastic' (under $100)
But if you want 'best' classic lenses....look for the 28/2, 35/2, 100/2, 200/2.8 and the 28-135mm"
